Day 26: A Pokemon That is Your Favorite Color

Rayquaza.

There a lot of green Pokemon, but most are light to an olive color. I prefer darker shades of green.

Day 25: A Pokemon Based on Your Favorite Animal

I don’t even know what my favorite animal is, tbfh. Wolves have always been pretty high up there, but there is no legit wolf Pokemon. Canids, but no wolves.

The closest thing resembling a wolf is Mightyena, but yeah.

Oh hum.

Day 24: A Pokemon You’d Find Useful in Real-life

Almost anything is a viable option, but I decided to go with Tropius.

I have always had a soft spot for Tropius. Won’t lie that I have fantasized about having this thing as my own personal form of transport more times than I can remember. He’s big enough to support actual travel realistically unlike a lot of the Pokemon you are able to teach Fly to.

Day 23: A Pokemon Which Reminds You of a Friend

You know who you are.

Day 22: Favorite Rival

Paul/Silver.

Now. It’s really Paul but I figured I’d put Silver here too even if he’s a little whiny piece of shit with daddy issues underneath it all. They are really the same in a lot of ways and I really do think Paul was the anime’s version of Silver, as in, he was an inspiration for Paul.

Now. I chose Paul over anyone else because he was the one that seemed to make most of the difference and better rivalry than Gary.
Gary was kinda this pedestal-like rival for Ash that was hardly ever around, taunted him, but didn’t really show too much prowess other than being ahead off-screen. Sure, you see him basically one-shot Giovanni’s Pokemon with tackling moves in the original season, but battling in the original season had no spunk anyway. (if anything, it was just grotesquely easy for him so he can shit his pants over Mewtwo when he was actually opposed)

Paul on the other hand knew his shit and infuriated Ash. He took things a lot more seriously and used strategy to back his tactics. He was, like us, what we are when we play the games. And because Ash and him has their disagreements, there was actual tension there that made everything a lot more interesting.

I don’t think the anime should have made him as much of a villain as it did. Though he didn’t appreciate his Pokemon and thank them for everything (like losing) and had questionable battle practice, he has shown that he does take care of his Pokemon and his Pokemon highly respect him. Ash is the hero and his morals go, so whatever.

Day 21: Favorite Villains

Team Rocket.

Sometimes, simplicity is best. An organized crime syndicate seems like the first way to exploit Pokemon for selfish needs, as opposed to eco-terrorism.

Day 20: Favorite Pokemon Professor

Fennel.

Betcha that no one saw this coming. Yes, she is a professor! Maybe not the regional professor, but it doesn’t have to be. Goddamn. Is there even really a reason for this one? There isn’t. I just really, really fucking like her.

Even this picture is suggestive. It’s hard finding artwork of this chick that’s.. tame.

Day 19: Favorite E4/Champion

Cynthia.

Love her style. Great battle theme. Total babe.

She just stands out to me. I have always really liked her a lot. Kinda like with the whole gym leaders thing, I just like the ones that stand out the most to me, and Cynthia just happens to be that special girl.

Much love darling.

Day 18: Favorite Gym Leader

None in particular. I like a lot of the gym leaders. There are very few that I don’t care for.

If we go with bulk, Sabrina would probably top.
Kanto kinda has an unfair advantage in development since it spans all four generation, one of which where the region was its post-game, so it has gotten the most attention to detail and change since it’s been relevant for pretty much 15 years now.
Sabrina has a lot of strong traits and interesting quirks. I never had that much of an affinity for her, but I still really do like her a lot.

Misty also has had a lot of screen-time in the anime and has been my favorite “Ash traveling partner”, but I’d hate just placing her as favorite for.. that.

Honestly, when shit just pops out at me, I’d feel better placing them but I’d have no good reason to, but I just really fucking love the majority of the female gym leaders. More notably: Gardenia, Skyla, Candice, and Winona.

Perhaps I should feel worse placing any of them for sex appeal/appearance, but I like them so much more.

Day 17: Favorite Shipping

Franticshipping.

Shipping is a big part of fandoms, even if it’s the kind of fandom that holds bad cognition to the likes of terrible fanfiction and girl fluff, but I say fuck you. It’s my guilty pleasure.

I read a little of the Pokemon Special manga years ago, but it was only bits of the original RGB adventure and usually the parts you’d hear thrown around for a darker and much more mature look at the material.
I still haven’t entirely read all of it and I’m somewhere on the part where Red disappears and Yellow is doing her thing, but I ate RS up in a matter of a few days.

I liked the characters and transition between them and what they were doing. I just loved the thought of them being a couple, and they are actually one of the legit ones in the entire Pokemon franchise - as in, they have actually confessed to each other and have shown a great deal of care for the other. Of course, the ending was left open to interpretation, and Ruby kinda brushes it off to the side, but they’re both too adorable.

Changed this question too. I didn’t like it. I suppose that defeats the purpose of a 30 day challenge, but fuck it. It’s not interesting if the question sucks.
